When unlocking your Ledger Nano device, you may run into the message: "Invalid PIN: x Attempts Left." A typo is often the culprit, so first try entering your PIN again. If the message persists, then you may have forgotten your PIN - but don't worry. If you have your recovery phrase, you will always be able to regain access to your funds. To access your Ledger device, you need to reset your device to factory settings and restore your device from your Recovery phrase.
- Enter an incorrect PIN code three times in a row.
After three incorrect PIN code entries, Ledger hardware wallets reset to factory settings, erasing the private keys from their secure storage.
- After the reset, restore the device from your Recovery phrase.
- Choose a new PIN code during the restoration process.
