A device in use
- Switch on the device.
- Enter your PIN code to unlock the device.
- Hold both buttons for 3 seconds at any time to open the Control Center.
- Navigate to Settings > General > Firmware version.
The firmware version is displayed under Secure Element. - Check the release notes to make sure that the firmware version on your device is the latest version available.
- If the firmware version is outdated, follow the steps outlined in this article to update your device to the latest version available.
- Connect the USB cable to switch on the device.
- Enter your PIN code to unlock the device.
- Hold both buttons for 3 seconds to open the Control Center.
- Navigate to Settings and press both buttons to enter.
- Select the General menu option by pressing both buttons.
- Navigate to Firmware version and press both buttons.

New, unused device
- Press and hold the left button next to the USB port until Bootloader mode is displayed.
