Missing deposits from Binance can happen when ETH or ERC20 tokens are sent to a Ledger Ethereum address via the BEP20 (BSC) network.
I’ve sent some ETH or ERC20 tokens to my Ledger ETH address via BSC
This guide will show you how to find your ETH/ERC20 coins on BSC, how to send them back to Binance, and how to withdraw them back to your Ledger device so they’ll show in Ledger Live.
Use MetaMask with your Ledger device to locate your Ledger BSC account
- Download and install the MetaMask extension on your computer browser.
- Create a new MetaMask wallet by following these instructions.
- Open MetaMask in an expanded view and connect your MetaMask instance to BSC using this tutorial
- Open the Ethereum app on your Ledger device by navigating to the Ethereum icon and pressing both buttons simultaneously.
- Connect your Ledger device to MetaMask using this tutorial in order to create a Ledger/Hardware account in MetaMask
- You should now be able to see your BSC address with your ETH/ERC20 in your MetaMask Ledger account.
- If you can't see your coins, you might need to add them as custom coins/tokens in MetaMask using this tutorial from MetaMask. Contract data for BSC assets can be found by pasting the coin’s ticker in BscScan.
Send your ETH/ERC20 back to Binance from your Ledger BSC account
- Send a small amount of BNB coins to your Ledger BSC account via the BSC network, the BNB will be used to pay for the transaction to send your ETH/ERC20 back to Binance.
- Using MetaMask and your Ledger device, deposit your ETH or ERC20 tokens to your Binance account via the BSC network:
Send your coins back to your Ledger Ethereum account
- In your Binance account, go to Withdrawal.
- Withdraw your ETH or ERC20 tokens to your Ledger Ethereum address via the ETH network:
Once you're done and the transaction has cleared, the coins should appear in Ledger Live.
