Using WalletConnect

You can use WalletConnect to connect supported decentralized applications to Ledger Live Mobile. WalletConnect is an open-source protocol that allows you to securely interact with any decentralized applications on desktop and mobile.

Before you begin

  • Update Ledger Live to at least version 2.19.0.
  • Make sure your Ledger device has the latest firmware version.

Accessing decentralized applications 

You can access decentralized applications from your desktop or mobile: 

  • Desktop: scan a QR code to access decentralized apps. 
  • Mobile: click on an application deep link. 

Desktop 

To access decentralized applications from your desktop:

  1. Go to the decentralized app website.
  2. Connect to WalletConnect
     A QR code is displayed on your screen. 
  3. In Ledger Live mobile, go to the Ethereum account you want to connect to the decentralized application. 
  4. On the Ethereum account page, tap on the Transfer button.

  5. Select WalletConnect
  6. Scan the QR code of the decentralized app. 
  7. Verify the connection details then tap Connect

You have successfully connected your account to the decentralized app. 

Mobile

To access decentralized applications from your mobile:

  1. In the decentralized app, connect to WalletConnect.  
  2. Select the Ledger wallet. 
    You are redirected to Ledger Live mobile. 
  3. Select the Ethereum account you want to connect to the decentralized app. 
  4. Verify the connection details then tap Connect

You have successfully connected your account to the decentralized app.

Sending a transaction from dApps

Once you have made a transaction on the decentralized app, you are redirected to Ledger Live mobile. You can use Ledger Live to modify the amount of network fees and verify the operation details.

  1. (optional) In the Summary step, tap Edit to change the Gas Price and/or Gas Limit.
  2. Review the operation details. 
  3. Select your Ledger device. Then connect and unlock your device.
  4. Open the Ethereum app on your device.
  5. Verify the operation details on your device. Then press both buttons to accept and send the operation. 

You have successfully sent a transaction from the decentralized app.
