  U2F timeout in Chrome

Due to changes in Chrome, U2F timeout issues on web apps like MyCrypto may occur. Please ensure your Ledger device runs the latest firmware and reinstall the app in the Manager. Also try updating USB drivers on Windows.

Install the Ethereum app on your Ledger device to manage ETH and ERC20 tokens with MyCrypto. The Ethereum app is developed and supported by Ledger. Check the MyCrypto page to learn more.

Before you start

Install the Ethereum app

  1. Open the Manager in Ledger Live.
  2. Connect and unlock your Ledger device.
  3. If asked, allow the manager on your device.
  4. Find Ethereum in the app catalog.
  5. Click the Install button of the app.
    • An installation window appears.
    • Your device will display Processing...
    • The app installation is confirmed.

Enabling contract data

If you want to send ERC-20 tokens, you need to activate contract data on your device. Otherwise, invalid status 6a80 is returned.

To enable contract data:

  1. Connect and unlock your Ledger device.
  2. Open the Ethereum application.
  3. Press the right button to navigate to Settings. Then press both buttons to validate.
  4. In the Contract data settings, press both buttons to allow contract data in transactions.
    The device displays Allowed.
