Export logs

Ledger Live logs store anonymous session and account information that helps Ledger Support and engineers troubleshoot your issues.

Creating a useful log file

Logs can also contain non-sensitive information about your Ledger devices, specifically, the device model, firmware version, and installed apps. This information is vital to ensuring that we have everything we need to quickly and effectively diagnose and resolve any issues you may face. Before saving your logs, please be sure to connect your Ledger device to the My Ledger tab to ensure the inclusion of this information in your logs. 

Use keyboard shortcut in Ledger Live Desktop

  1. Press CTRL + E on your keyboard immediately after encountering a bug or crash.
  2. Choose where to save the logs on your computer.
  3. Click Save
  4. Attach the saved logs (JSON file) to your customer request.

Export from Ledger Live settings

  1. Click on Settings cog in the top right corner of the app.
  2. Click on the Help tab.
  3. Navigate to the Save logs section and click Save.
  4. Choose where to save the logs on your computer.
  5. Click Save.
  6. Attach the saved logs (JSON file) to your customer request.

Export from an error message

You can export the logs directly from an error message in Ledger Live Desktop.

  1. Once you see an error message in Ledger Live, click Save logs.
  2. Choose where to save the logs on your computer.
  3. Click Save.
  4. Attach the saved logs (JSON file) to your customer request.error.png
