What is Ledger Replace?

Ledger Replace is a device protection plan that gives you 3 years of coverage for your Ledger device. In case of damage or malfunction, you will receive a replacement device. The service is provided by Bolt, the largest insurance exchange in the world that connects insurance providers, distributors, and customers.

What does Ledger Replace cover?

 Ledger Replace gives you:

- 2 years of additional coverage for device breakdown.

- 3 years of accidental damage coverage, such as damage from drops and liquid spills.

Please note that Ledger Replace doesn't cover theft or loss of devices.

Where can I buy Ledger Replace?

Ledger Replace is available through Ledger.com when you purchase a Ledger Nano S Plus or Ledger Nano X. You can add Ledger Replace to your order by ticking the Ledger Replace box in the cart. 

Ledger Replace is currently only available in the United States. Terms & Conditions apply. 

For which devices is Ledger Replace available?

Ledger Replace is available for Ledger Nano S Plus and Ledger Nano X. It's not available for special editions, bundles, or accessories.

Can I buy Ledger Replace for my existing Ledger device?

No, you can only buy Ledger Replace along with a new Ledger device.

What is the start date of my coverage?

Your coverage starts as soon as your purchase order is confirmed and you receive a confirmation email.

How can I access my Ledger Replace account?

When you buy Ledger Replace, you'll receive a confirmation email with the link to activate and access your account. You can also access it through the My Order page or Bolt's dedicated portal

How can I check my remaining coverage?

You can check your coverage details by connecting to Bolt's dedicated portal

How can I cancel my Ledger Replace coverage?

You can cancel your coverage at any time:

  • To cancel it within the first 14 days after the purchase, contact Ledger Support to submit the request and get a full refund. 
  • To cancel it after the first 14 days from the date of purchase, access your Ledger Replace account through Bolt's dedicated portal and submit the cancelation request. For further information, see the detailed refund policy in the Ledger Replace Terms & Conditions

Please note that when you request a refund for your Ledger device, your Ledger Replace coverage will automatically be canceled.

Filling a claim

How can I submit a claim for a replacement device?

You can submit the claim through your account on Bolt's dedicated portal. If this is your first time logging in, you will be asked to enter the email address you used to purchase Ledger Replace and create a password.

How long do I have to file my claim?

You need to file the claim no later than 30 days after your device has malfunctioned or been damaged.

How many claims am I allowed to file?

You can file one claim per rolling 12-month period. The 12-month period begins once your purchase order has been confirmed. A new 12-month period starts on the anniversary of the order confirmation.

How can I check the status of my claim?

You can check the status of your claim in your account on Bolt's dedicated portal

Why do you need my credit card?

Your credit card serves as a guarantee in case you don't return your damaged or malfunctioning device. If this happens, you'll be charged a non-return fee up to the retail value of your covered device. If you return the device, you will not be charged, and your credit card data will be deleted.  

Why was my claim rejected?

Your claim may be rejected if your claim details are outside the terms of coverage. For a complete list of policy terms and exclusions, refer to the Ledger Replace Terms & Conditions. If you have any further questions, please contact Bolt.

Getting a replacement device

When will I receive my replacement device?

Once your claim is approved, an in-stock replacement will be shipped within 2 business days.

What is the process for returning a damaged/malfunctioning device?

Your replacement device will come with a return label. Place the damaged /malfunctioning device in the box (received with the replacement device), seal the box, attach the return label to the box, and drop it off at a UPS location.

Will I receive the same device model as a replacement? 

We strive to replace your device with an exact model match. In the event that we cannot match the model, you may receive a device that is of like-kind and quality. Also, the device color may be different.

Troubleshooting

I haven't received my confirmation email. How should I proceed?

Please check your spam. You can also access your Ledger Replace account through Bolt's dedicated portal. If this is your first time logging in, you will need to activate your account using the email address you used to buy Ledger Replace.

I forgot my password. How should I proceed?

Navigate to Bolt's dedicated portal and click the Forgot password button. Follow the onscreen instructions to reset your password.

I can't find my Ledger Replace receipt. Can I still file my claim?

Look for the confirmation email you received from Bolt right after the purchase. If you can't find it, contact Bolt and provide the email address you used to buy Ledger Replace. 

My claim was rejected. Can I resubmit it?

It's not possible to resubmit a claim that was rejected.
