How to swap crypto using THORSwap

This article explains the process of swapping cryptocurrency across various blockchain networks using the THORSwap app. This app is accessible in the Discover section of Ledger Live, in conjunction with your Ledger device.

THORSwap is a decentralized cross-chain exchange. For more information, you can visit the project's official website.

Before you start

Swap crypto using THORSwap and your Ledger device

  1. Launch Ledger Live and navigate to the Discover section, then choose THORSwap.

  2. Click on Connect Wallet and select your source account for the swap.

  3. Click Connect Wallet once more, but now, select the destination account for the swap.

  4. Choose the amount you want to swap, then carefully review the received amount and the swap fee. If all details are accurate, click Swap to proceed.

  5. Review the transaction summary for a final time. If everything checks out, click Confirm to initiate the swap.

Now it's time to sign the transaction on your Ledger device.
  6. In Ledger Live, click Continue and then open the corresponding app on your Ledger device.
  7. Verify the transaction details carefully and if everything appears correct, navigate to the Accept and Send screen. Press both buttons at the same time to sign the transaction and broadcast it to the network.

Once the transaction broadcasts successfully, a pop-up window will appear.
  8. Click Details to monitor your transaction.

Depending on the cryptocurrency being swapped and the network conditions, the swap could take anywhere from a few minutes to an hour, so patience is key.

Once your transaction has been confirmed on the source network and processed by THORSwap, your swapped balance will appear in the destination account.
