How to swap crypto with Squid through Ledger Live

You can swap crypto through the Ledger Live app with our third-party partner Squid.

Squid enables the seamless movement of assets between different blockchains. Its app allows you to swap assets between blockchains in one click.

Bridge Transaction Issue with BASE in Squid

When setting up a bridge transaction within Squid using BASE as the initiating account/network, a ‘switch network' button appears (at the top and bottom of the page) that appears to do nothing. This issue prevents bridging on the BASE network within the Squid app in Ledger Live.

Workaround: For now, we advise users to use the Squid web app with your Ledger device connected to a third-party wallet like Rabby or Metamask:

Our team is aware of the issue and actively working towards a solution.

Things to know:

  • The swap feature is unavailable in certain countries.
  • It can take some time to receive your crypto. This is usually due to network congestion. However, if you’ve been waiting a while and still don’t see the exchanged crypto in your balance, please reach out to Squid support.

Before you begin

  • Make sure that you’re running the latest version of Ledger Live and the latest OS version on your Ledger device.
  • You will need an account for the crypto you want to swap → Learn more
  • It’s possible to get an error message when attempting to swap through the Ledger Live app. This can happen when your VPN is on, so please make sure to turn it off before attempting to swap.
